Nicely warm for everyday cold weather. The cotton fleece lining holds heat all through the boot, and the mid ankle support keeps warmth around your ankle on chilly walks and commutes.

Are they waterproof?

They are built for cold and snow rather than heavy water. The oxford fabric and pig leather upper handles light snow and dry cold well, but leather is not fully waterproof, so avoid soaking them in deep slush or puddles.

How do they handle snow and ice?

The anti slip rubber sole has an aggressive tread that bites into snow and icy pavement for solid grip. As with any boot, ease up on pure glare ice.

Are these truly barefoot boots?

Yes. Northbound is zero drop with a wide toe box and a lightweight flexible sole. Your toes get room to spread and your foot flexes naturally, so you keep the barefoot feel in a warm leather boot.

What size should I order for thick socks?

How do I care for the leather and fleece lining?

Wipe the pig leather and oxford fabric with a soft dry or barely damp cloth, then let the boots air dry away from direct heat. A leather conditioner now and then keeps the leather supple. Air out the cotton fleece lining between wears.
