YOUR DAY IN YOUR SHOES

  1. 8 AM
Feet in ordinary shoes at the start of the day

    LACED UP, FINE.

Fresh out the door. The front feels snug, but you tell yourself that's normal.

  2. 2 PM
Toes pressed together inside a tapered shoe

    TOES PRESSED TOGETHER.

Your feet have spread with the day. The tapered front hasn't. Your toes pay.

  3. 6 PM
Shoes kicked off by the door in the evening

    SHOES OFF. AT THE DOOR.

You don't even make it to the couch. Off they come, toes finally free.

STILL ON YOUR FEET.

Cut widest at the toes, so nothing pressed all day. Nothing to escape from.

WHY THE STRIDE STAYS ON

FOUR THINGS YOUR TOES WILL NOTICE

A wide ordinary sneaker next to the foot shaped Stride
01

THE WIDE PAIR WAS ONLYLONGER

You sized up for width and got a longer shoe, still pinched at the front. Stride is cut wide where your toes actually are.

Close up of the one piece knit upper with no seam over the toes
02

NOTHINGPRESSINGON YOUR TOES

One piece of soft knit across the top. No seam crosses your toes, so nothing hard sits on the widest part of your foot. It stretches to you.

03

HEELLEVELWITH YOUR TOES

Flat from heel to toe, so no heel lift shoves your weight forward into your toes. Thin enough to feel the ground, with a soft insole for pavement.

NO BREAK IN. WEAR THEMTODAY.

Nothing on the Stride is rigid, so nothing has to soften before it stops rubbing. Chris C. wrote, "Fit like a glove right out of the box."

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What size should I order?

Order your usual size. The extra room is across the toes, not in the length, so you don't need to size up for width. Not sure? Email support@onbarefoot.com with the size you wear now and we'll tell you which to order.

Is there a break in period?

No. Nothing on the Stride is rigid, so nothing has to soften. Three reviewers wrote they wore them right away with no rubbing. If you're coming from a cushioned shoe, keep the first few walks short while your feet get used to a flat sole.

Will they fit wide feet?

That's what the shape is for. Stride is cut to the outline of a foot, widest across the toes, and the one piece knit stretches instead of pressing. Jane B. wrote that they fit her wide feet without being sloppy.

What if they are not right for me?

Wear them for 30 days. If you're still kicking them off at the door, email support@onbarefoot.com and we'll sort out your money back. Return postage is on you, and that's the only cost.

How long does delivery take?

Orders leave within one business day. Delivery to the US and Canada usually lands 5 to 9 business days after that, and you get tracking as soon as it ships.

Can I wear these without socks?

Yes. The knit sits soft against skin and there is no seam across the toes to rub. Plenty of customers wear them barefoot. If you run warm, thin socks still leave room because the fit is cut wide at the front.

Are they good for walking all day?

That is what they are built for. They are light, flexible and flat, so nothing forces your weight forward. If you are coming from a cushioned shoe, build up your distance over the first week while your feet adjust.

How do I clean them?

Take the insole out, then hand wash the upper in cool water with a little mild soap and let it air dry. Keep them out of the dryer and off radiators, since heat can harden the sole.
