01 · The sole
Two boots in one pair, and you decide which one you need today
The thermal insole in FrostVenture lifts straight out. Leave it in when the ground is frozen, take it out when you want less between your foot and the ground.
Then leave the thermal layer in and forget it is there
A warm fleece layer underfoot on top of the EVA, so cold never comes up through the sole. This is where the boot spends most of the winter.
Then lift it out and there is less between you and the ground
Two seconds, no tools. You get more room for a thick sock, more ground feel underfoot, and the insole can dry overnight instead of staying damp inside the boot.
Either way your heel and your toes sit at the same height, the way they do when you stand on your own kitchen floor with nothing on.

How warm are the FrostVenture boots?
Warm and cozy for everyday winter. The plush cotton insulation lining holds heat well, and the mid ankle height keeps warmth in without feeling heavy, so they suit daily cold weather wear.
Are they waterproof or water resistant?
They are water resistant. The elastic fabric, nylon and webbing upper has a water resistant coating that handles light snow and rain. They are not fully waterproof, so we would keep them out of deep slush and standing water.
How do they grip on snow and ice?
The thickened textured anti slip rubber sole grips snow and wet pavement for steady footing. It is dependable on winter walks, though we always advise care on solid ice.
Are these truly barefoot boots?
Yes. FrostVenture is zero drop with a wide toe box and a flexible sole. Your toes can spread and your foot moves naturally, and the elastic locking laces let it flex with you.
What size should I choose for thick socks?
They fit true to size for most people. If you wear thick socks, or you are between sizes or have wider feet, size up a half size for more room. Women and men have their own sizing, switched with the Women and Men buttons at the top of the page.
How do I care for the upper and lining?
Wipe the fabric and nylon upper with a damp cloth and let the boots air dry naturally, which keeps the water resistant coating working. Let the cotton insulation lining air out between wears and keep them away from direct heat.
