Why your feet hurt
A trail shoe should not fight your foot on the way up
Tap a spot to see why it hurts.
-
When your feet are tilted all day, everything above them adjusts to compensate.
In TrailblazerYour balance comes from the ground up, not from a wedge. -
A raised heel tips you forward, and your knees absorb what your feet cannot.
In TrailblazerNo hard shape pressing on one spot mile after mile. -
A stiff sole stops your foot bending, so the work travels up into your lower legs.
In TrailblazerYour foot reads the ground instead of being held still. -
Your toes are held in a point all day, so the widest part of your foot carries the pressure.
In TrailblazerYour toes splay and grip on uneven ground.
Nothing pressing. Nothing tilting.

Questions
Trailblazer questions, answered
How should I size the Trailblazer for hiking?
Fit true to size for most people. Since barefoot shoes can run slightly short and feet can swell on longer walks, size up half a size if you are between sizes, have wider feet, or plan long days out. Women use US Women's sizing and men use US Men's sizing, chosen at the top of the page.
What are the Trailblazer built for?
They are trail ready shoes for hiking, gravel and moderate trails. A breathable mesh upper sits over an enhanced 5mm protective sole with an aggressive multi directional lug tread for grip on loose ground.
Can I still feel the trail with the 5mm protective sole?
Yes. The 5mm sole is thin enough to keep you connected to the ground and let your foot flex naturally, while adding protection from rocks and roots underfoot. It is zero drop, so you move in a natural, level stance.
Do the lugs and mesh need a break in period?
The mesh is comfortable right away. If you are new to barefoot shoes, start with shorter walks so your feet and calves adjust to the flat, flexible feel before your first long hike.
How do I clean them after a muddy trail?
Let mud dry, then knock it off and brush the lugs clean. Wipe the mesh with a damp cloth and mild soap and rinse the sole. Air dry them away from direct heat rather than using a dryer.
Is there a difference between the women's and men's Trailblazer?
Same trail design, tread and 5mm sole. The sizing scale is the only difference. Switch between Women and Men at the top of the page for the correct sizes.
What is the return policy?
They come with a 30 day money back guarantee. If they are not right for the trail, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. We ship to the US and CA.
