Why your feet hurt
A warm boot should not cost you your toes
Tap a spot to see why it hurts.
-
When your feet are tilted all day, everything above them adjusts to compensate.
In FrostSpireYou keep a natural stance on the trail. -
A raised heel tips you forward, and your knees absorb what your feet cannot.
In FrostSpireNo hard shape pressing on one spot all day. -
A stiff sole stops your foot bending, so the work travels up into your lower legs.
In FrostSpireYour foot moves instead of being held still. -
Your toes are held in a point all day, so the widest part of your foot carries the pressure.
In FrostSpireYour toes splay even over thick winter socks.
Nothing pressing. Nothing tilting.

Why it works
What FrostSpire actually does for your feet
Warm all the way round, not just underneath
Plush fleece wraps the foot, windproof.
Your toes still splay, even in winter socks
Wide at the toes, even with thick socks.
Sure footing on snow and rock
Deep tread bites into snow and ice.
01 · The sole
Two boots in one pair, and you decide which one you need today
The thermal insole in FrostSpire lifts straight out. Leave it in when the ground is frozen, take it out when you want less between your foot and the ground.
Then leave the thermal layer in and forget it is there
A warm fleece layer underfoot on top of the EVA, so cold never comes up through the sole. This is where the boot spends most of the winter.
Then lift it out and there is less between you and the ground
Two seconds, no tools. You get more room for a thick sock, more ground feel underfoot, and the insole can dry overnight instead of staying damp inside the boot.
Either way your heel and your toes sit at the same height, the way they do when you stand on your own kitchen floor with nothing on.
The weight
You do not wear your boots. You lift them, about 7,000 times a day.
A normal winter boot adds a few ounces. Multiply that by 7,000.
18 oz per shoe
Weight you stop lifting, every day
0 lb
One shoe per step, at 7,000 steps a day.
Why this pair
FrostSpire next to a standard winter hiking boot

Questions
FrostSpire questions, answered
How warm are the FrostSpire boots?
Very cozy. The long plush velvet lining runs a full 360 degrees around your foot, so warmth surrounds you from every side. They are built for cold weather walking and everyday winter wear.
Are they waterproof?
They are made for cold and snow rather than deep water. The oxford cloth and synthetic leather panels handle snow and light moisture, but we would not call them fully waterproof, so skip deep puddles and slush pools.
How is the traction on snow and ice?
The rubber outsole uses an 11 column hexagonal tread that grips packed snow and wet ground well. It gives confident footing in winter, though no boot is fully ice proof on glare ice.
Are these truly barefoot boots?
Yes. FrostSpire is zero drop with a widened toe box and a flexible sole, so your toes can splay and your foot flexes naturally. The contoured footbed adds gentle support without lifting your heel.
What size should I get for thick socks?
They fit true to size for most people. If you like thick winter socks, or you are between sizes or have wider feet, size up a half size for extra room. Women and men have their own sizing, switched with the Women and Men buttons at the top of the page.
How do I care for the upper and plush lining?
Brush off dirt and wipe the oxford cloth and synthetic leather panels with a barely damp cloth. Let the plush velvet lining air dry fully between wears, away from radiators and direct heat so it stays soft.
Can I return them if they do not fit?
Absolutely. You have 30 days to try them. If they are not right, return them for a full refund. We ship to the US and CA.
